The research develops digital tools to support the diagnosis, classification and treatment planning of femoral fractures, integrating artificial intelligence, biomechanics and medical imaging.
The system automatically analyzes CT and X ray images to identify and classify fractures according to the AO classification, also including a dedicated module for periprosthetic fractures based on the Vancouver classification. The platform aims to match the characteristics of the fracture and the patient’s anatomy with the most appropriate fixation device, supporting physicians in the selection of the most suitable orthopedic solution.
The goal is to make the decision making process faster, more standardized and more personalized, helping to improve diagnostic accuracy, surgical planning and orthopedic treatment.
